Agreed! The Tournament Game of Quotes
FEEL GOOD, HAVE FUN, TALK ABOUT THE REAL STUFF, PLAY A GAME THAT ADVANCES PEACE!
AGREED! is the surprisingly fun game that provides the occasion to talk about “the real stuff.” Real stuff includes peace, love, honesty, trust, truth, dreams, hopes, forgiving and genuine friendship.
If you pitted the wisdom of Mother Teresa against the wisdom of Gandhi, who do you think would win?
In the game AGREED! players read the quotes of two sages and agree upon which quote they think is more meaningful or beautiful.
If the players agree that one quote is more meaningful, the author of the captivating quote advances to the next round in the play-offs. If players cannot be of the same mind, they choose two new quote cards and try again to reach agreement.
The game is set up as a tournament that begins with eight sages, prophets, poets and authors. The elite eight are narrowed to a final four, and then to two, who are paired against each other for the championship.
Each occasion you take part in the game, has a different result because you may be playing with a different person or discussing different quotes.
Players discuss quotes of timeless wisdom and why they think they are meaningful to them. It’s not only engaging and fun, but does promote peace, on the local level. There isn’t a winner or loser in the game, everyone wins.
“The game was born in a discussion over a couple of beers with a friend twelve years ago.” said Steve Benson, creator of the game.
His friend began reading out loud the words of Jesus and challenged Benson to “top that.” So Benson began offering quotes by legendary UCLA college basketball coach John Wooden that he thought were at least as powerful.
The two put up a large poster board, penned in a tournament bracket and over several weeks, had fun pitting the words of wisdom from sages against each other.
AGREED! retails at $39.95, which includes a tournament game board, direction for a variety of manners to play and a set of 400 quote cards from 16 authors, sages, poets and prophets. Expansion packs available.

Agreed! the tournament game of quotes (that advances peace)
Would you be open to playing a game that advances peace? Is there a need, in this time, to play a game that helps promote positive interactions, collaboration and consensus building? Picture a game that is based on greed, violence, and beating the other. Now picture the opposite of that: peace, love, trust, humor, honesty and friendship. Which game would you rather play? Would you like to feel good, have fun and play a game that advances peace? If peace is gonna come, can it come from playing a game? What if a game repaired the world just by playing it? Are you going to say “yes” to a game that advances peace and gets people to talk about the real stuff? An experience for all ages. ARE YOU GAME?
